This is probably taken around the same time. Also a picture of the farm down in Cedar Creek holler.
This is a family blog for all of the children, grandchildren, great grandchildren and great great grandchildren of Lawrence and Lula Smith.
This is what is written on the back of this picture: "The Smith Home. Juanita waving, Ethel carrying Gerald, Lois Jea next to Ethel, Geraldine ad Lavaughn. The old house where all of us kids were born. In this picture you can see the cow lot; the garden near side of the house and the potato patch at the back of the house. We climbed this hill each morning on our way to school. We would often see snakes, tarantula spiders, and large green lizards. Also poisnous scorpions with their tails over their backs. Wolves and cayotes would howl at night."
Alvena, Maxine, Florence, Anderson standing behind Florence, Grandma, LaVaughn, Ethel, Juanita (does anyone know who the man between LaVaughn and Ethel is?)
August 23, 1963. Uncle Anderson's birthday. I can't tell if this is the same time as the first picture, because Aunt Alvena doesn't have the same dress on. The gentleman sitting down at the table is the same guy that is in the first picture (I think.) Sometimes it's hard to tell these sisters apart!
LaVaughn, Ethel, Grandpa, Aunt Edith (pregnant with Brent), Grandma, Maxine (I think) and Lois Jean
Grandpa, Ethel, Grandma, Maxine, Alvena, Edith, James, Juanita and LaVaughn (once again I have to say "I think")
Lois Jean holding Suzy, Pam in front of her, Juanita, Ethel, Kenny Albertson in front of Grandma, Grandpa, Gertrude (my mom) and me (Carolea) standing in front of my mom.

I would assume they are on their way to church since Grandma is all dressed up. I'm not sure where this was taken.
This is a different music fest because Grandpa is dressed differently. Aunt Alvena is playing the guitar and Aunt Lavaughn is sitting next to her. (I think that's Aunt Lavaughn anyway.)
