It looks like a beautiful day.

I just love the way Aunt Juanita was dressed. It was an era when "women" prided themselves in being "ladies." I'm sure this had to be a Sunday because all of the ladies wore hats to church.
It brings back peaceful, lazy days of summer.

This is a wonderful picture. My parents used the patio a lot. The stones were from a old chuch in St. Louis. Dad could not find any one to install, but he found a 84 year old indian lady who got on her hands and knees, and finished the patio. So many wonderful times we had on it.

Ummm, I remember eating bar-b-qued ribs on that patio. It was beautiful and what a story about how it was finished. I don't suppose you have her rib recipe.

No, I remember she made her own bar-b-que sauce. Mother did not drink beer, but she did as I remember added it to her sauce. Dad would bar-b-que 25 slabs of ribs at one time when the ball team came for dinner. I wish I did have the recipe. Mother taught me how to make German potato salad and slaw. I would ask her how much ingredient do you use Mom? She would say a little of this and that. So you learn to taste as you go. Her cakes always from scratch. She made the most wonderful orange cake. Her icing would have the peel of the orange in it. Doesn't that sound good?
